co-development strategies with community partners to prevent disease and promote oral health and wellness.
BC Volunteer Dental Community Fund
This fund provides support for student rotations and community outreach program within British Columbia focused on patient care and education to marginalized communities to help prevent disease and promote oral health.
Community Access Fund
Provides opportunity for students to advocate for patients who cannot afford full dental treatment. Patients receive the treatment at a reduced fee while students are able to follow through the treatment plan for their patients.
Dr. David B. Kennedy Orthodontics Fund
Provides the opportunity for students in the graduate orthodontics program to advocate for patients who face financial challenges in completing their full and comprehensive dental treatment.
Dr. Richard B. Kramer Pediatric Dentistry Fund
Provides the opportunity for students in the graduate pediatric dentistry program to advocate for patients who face financial challenges in completing their full and comprehensive dental treatment.
Geriatric Dentistry Program
Provides comprehensive dental services to seniors and diverse education for students on how to provide specialized care and treatment to elders.
Mobile Dental Unit Fund
Two mobile cargo vans transport portable dental chairs, portable units, supplies and instruments to support student rotations within the community.
Monarch Instar Fund
Together with Monarch Pediatrics, this program provides educational and research opportunities in the pediatric dentistry field to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Phoebe Tsang Initiative for Children Oral Care Endowment
Supports access to oral health care for children with special needs and enhanced student pediatric dental education.
Save a Smile Program
A partnership with BCDA providing urgent dental care to the children of low-income families without public or private dental plan coverage.
Sinclair Dental Travel Fellowship Program
Together with Sinclair Dental, this program provides a unique opportunity for student global community service rotations and collaborative learning.
Summer Student Practitioner Program
A win-win program for students and dentist mentors. Students gain clinical experience over the summer and an opportunity to be part of the day-to-day operation and management of a dental practice.
SuperChefs Community Volunteer Clinical Program
UBC Dental Hygiene and UBC Land & Food Systems Dietetics program join hands with Dr. Greg Chang, DMD 1986 in teaching nutrition and promoting oral health wellness with kids through cooking.
