What better way to celebrate UBC Dentistry’s 60th anniversary than by celebrating you, our alumni, and the many ways you stay connected with the Faculty?
Enter for your chance to win!
Throughout the year, 60 lucky alumni will receive a limited edition 60th anniversary bag.
All alumni have the opportunity to be automatically entered into the draw through one of the methods outlined below, plus you have the option to submit additional entries to increase your chances of winning.
Five winners will be chosen from a random draw at the end of each month. The more you connect with us, the more chances you have to win!
Automatic Entry
Throughout 2024, you will receive an automatic entry if:
- You are a part-time faculty member.
- You register for a UBC Dentistry Continuing Dental Education (CDE) course.
- You register for a UBC Dentistry CDE Travel & Learn program.
- You attend a UBC Dentistry alumni event.
- You are a Summer Student Practitioner Program (SSPP) mentor.
- You attend the SSPP Mentors Breakfast at the Pacific Dental Conference (PDC).
- You visit the Faculty booth at the PDC.
- You update your address or other contact details.
Submit an Entry
To submit an entry, email Rosemary Casson, Associate Director, Alumni Engagement, at alumni@dentistry.ubc.ca and share your favourite way to connect with the Faculty. Please put “60” in the subject line.
Submissions can be simple, such as letting us know you’ve been reading our Alumni e-News or having coffee with a student.
Here are some examples:
- Participating as an admissions volunteer.
- Submitting a personal update to include in our Alumni e-News (e.g., wedding and baby photos/announcements, new job details, travel plans).
- Reaching out to plan a class reunion.
- Volunteering to be an alumni host for dinner with a small group of students. This program is generously supported by our Alumni Partners.
- Planning a campus visit with a tour of the Faculty.
- Speaking to a class or sponsoring a student event.
- Donating to the new UBC Dentistry Student Wellness Fund, or any student awards, bursaries or Faculty priority projects we have listed on the website.
- Being interviewed for our online library of alumni stories to share with our students and community.
