The Dental Hygiene Degree Program is seeking professionals with advanced academic credentials to fill part-time clinical teaching positions. Please complete the form below to apply.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, Education or related area relevant to dental hygiene education
- Current full registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of BC or eligible to apply
- A minimum of 3 years of recent clinical Dental Hygiene practice, preference will be given to those with clinical experience in a periodontal specialty practice
- Preference will be given to those dental hygienists who have recent Dental Hygiene or Dentistry clinical teaching experience
- Active participation in dental hygiene professional organizations
- Excellent communication abilities in both written and oral English
- Ability to collaborate as an effective member of a professional team
Benefits:
- $125 per session
- Free enrolment in the online Fundamentals of Clinical Education Course (with 7.5 professional development (PD) hours)
- $100 for PD each year for UBC Continuing Dental Education (CDE) courses. Available after one year of service and teaching 20 or more sessions annually. To be used for Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE) online courses only. Offered in addition to the one free CDE, ‘unlimited enrolment course’ per term in which you teach.
